The Birth of a Star - Day 11

Albert describes one of the colorful posters on his wall as “the birth of a star” (p. 181).

How does the friendship bond among Ally, Albert, and Keisha inspire each of them to believe in themselves?

In what ways do they accept each other for who they are?

How is it significant that Ally confides in them on page 183?

On page 158, Mr. Daniels inspires Ally with a quote sometimes attributed to Albert Einstein:

“Everyone is smart in different ways. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking it’s stupid.”

Famous Fantasticos!! - Day 13

Mr. Daniel displays pictures of famous people including Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Washington, Henry Ford, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Patricia Polacco, Whoopi Goldberg, Henry Winkler, Muhammad Ali, Winston Churchill, John Lennon, and Walk Disney.  They he reveals that they all had or have dyslexia.

Find some quotes, soundbites, interviews, etc. from these people and see what they said about their dyslexia.  Post them here, make sure you put their name before you put the information about them.
